Ablution deep cleans are done on a contracted or ad hoc basis but the clean that is carried out is always the same. Deep cleaning of ablution facilities involves chemically cleaning and treating facilities to reduce the risk of cross infection.

During these deep cleans items like bench seats, lockers and tables are moved to clean beneath them. Floors are scrubbed using chemicals designed for the specific floor type. Walls are cleaned from the floor to the ceiling with specific focus on cleaning grim and grit build up. Toilet cubical walls and doors, surfaces, lockers, benches and fittings are all cleaned and sanitized.

Upon completion the facility is completely clean, but this does not mean daily cleaning should not still be carried out, especially in high volume facilities like ablutions.
